I’m Coach cass — the heart behind HerBalanced Life

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been chasing balance — and for much of my life, I didn’t know what that truly meant.

From the age of 8, I struggled with body dysmorphia, low self-esteem, and eventually years of yo-yo dieting and disordered eating. I’ve tried almost every diet out there — keto, low carb, HCG, Optavia, and more — always searching for the “perfect” body, always falling into the same cycle of shame, restriction, and judgment.

In my teens, I battled anorexia and even faced the dark reality of suicidal thoughts. My journey wasn’t easy. Along the way, I’ve also faced Bell’s Palsy around the age of 20, and in my late 30’s, a spinal fusion. These experiences challenged my strength, flexibility, and mindset and left me feeling broken at times, but also planted the seeds of resilience and determination.


Finding My Way Back to Myself

The turning point came in the last 5 years. I finally gave myself permission to stop punishing my body — and start nourishing it.

I also made my mental health a priority for the first time. I began practicing meditation, journaling, and mindfulness not as a way to fix myself, but as tools to reconnect with who I really am. Slowly, I started letting go of shame and judgment and learning how to treat myself with compassion.

At the same time, I leaned into strength training and science-based nutrition, not as a way to control my body, but as a way to heal it. I began building a new relationship with food, movement, and myself — one rooted in self-love instead of self-criticism.

Along the way, I became a Certified Health Coach (2015), Personal Trainer (2019), and Nutrition Coach. My certifications gave me the tools to guide others, but my personal struggles gave me something even deeper: empathy, resilience, and the desire to help women feel less alone.


Why I Created HerBalanced Life

I know what it feels like to stare in the mirror and feel “not enough.” I know the exhausting cycle of restriction, shame, and starting over. I also know what it’s like to struggle silently with mental health — battling anxiety, depression, and the weight of constant self-criticism.

But I also know that freedom is possible. Healing isn’t just about food or fitness; it’s about learning to care for your mind and body together. Over the past five years, I’ve discovered that true balance comes from addressing both sides — nourishing your body with simple, sustainable habits and creating space for mental wellness through practices like meditation, journaling, and self-compassion.

HerBalanced Life is my way of giving back. It’s a space for women to learn how to:

  • Fuel their bodies with nourishment, not punishment.
  • Move in ways that build strength and confidence.
  • Prioritize their mental health and self-care practices.
  • Thrive through balance, not extremes.

No fads. No shame. Just science-backed, compassionate guidance for women who want to love themselves and live fully.
